Civil Design Engineer

Searching for civil designer with 3 to 15 years experience of detailed design of port marine structures (quay walls, retaining walls, wharves, piers, jetties) to work for the leading marine engineering consultancy firm worldwide. Capable of working within project teams, undertaking analysis and writing reports on port projects, able to present results to clients and discuss/explain marine technical issues, work on cost estimates and schedules and generally contribute to port projects. An ability to lead project teams would be an advantage.

Candidates should provide details of previous project and employer experience, preferably with references, explaining their role on projects and technical capabilities, such as analysis tools, types of structures etc.

Coastal, Port and Harbour Engineer

Cullen Grummitt & Roe is an international marine, port and harbour engineering consultancy with offices around the world. Due to an expanding workload we are seeking engineers to work both in our London office but also our other overseas offices. We are ideally after engineers with coastal experience in breakwaters, revetments and coastal processes however all applications will be considered.

Attractive rumuneration packages are offered and relocation expenses will be considered. Engineers with both design and site experience are required. Overseas travel is available for candidates who are interested.

Coastal Engineer

Coast & Harbor Engineering, Inc., has two openings for engineers withexperience in marine/coastal structure design, construction oversight and coastal processes analysis for projects located in the Pacific Northwest, Gulf of Mexico, South America, and Asia. Coastal engineering projects include shoreline stabilization, beach nourishment, coastal habitat creation and restoration, marine terminals, navigation and dredging, coastal processes analysis, numerical modeling, coastal and estuarine hydraulics and geomorphology. The Coastal Engineer position requires 2-6 years experience and the Senior Coastal Engineer position requires 6-12years experience and a P.E. License.

Both of these openings are available in our Edmonds, Washington office. Both positions require a current valid work permit or permanent residency. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes pay for overtime, medical/dental insurance, and a 401k plan.



Marine Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities will include field work, data analysis, marina design and planning, structural and volumetric calculations, project scheduling, permitting coordination, development of construction plans and specifications, construction cost estimates, bid review, construction administration, writing proposals and feasibility reports, and general support for the resident engineers. Typical projects include fixed and floating dock marinas, flushing studies, fishing piers, seawalls, revetments, dredging, recreational parks, and Coastal Construction Control Line permitting. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a positive work ethic, and upbeat attitude, strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to think through technical problems, the desire to learn new kills, and a passion for working in the marine environment.

COMPUTER:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD are required. Familiarity with Sheet Pile Wall 911, FEMA’s Coastal Hazard Analysis Modeling Program, and the Shore Protection manual is desired.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum Bachelor of Science degree in a relative engineering field is required. Ability to earn a Professional Engineer License is desired. Field experience with, and general knowledge of engineering projects, environmental studies, surveying, and data collection is preferred. Knowledge and experience in concrete and steel design is a plus. Field experience should include boat handling, general bathymetric surveying, and SCUBA preferred.
